Once you login with the admin account in your PHPGroupWare web site, you can manage the script applications. First you can check and modify their configuration through the Admin section.
If you want to use the e-mail application, you should configure it.
The Standard e-mail settings would look like the following ones:
Enter your POP3/IMAP mail server hostname or IP address: mail.yourdomainname.com
Select your mail server type: IMAP or POP3IMAP Server Type: Cyrus or Courier
Enter your default mail domain ( From: user@domain ): email@example.com Mail server login type: standard
Enter your SMTP server hostname or IP address: mail.yourdomainname.comEnter your SMTP server port: 25
Then you can edit the custom e-mail settings.
Troubleshooting Tips: Please mind that you should change yourdomainname.com with the actual domain.
You should also change firstname.lastname@example.org with an existing e-mail account, which you have created through cPanel -> Email Accounts.
Once you are ready with the applications configuration you can start to use them.
The available applications are:
E-mail - this is a webmail client, which allows you to send and receive messages.
Calendar - you can make your own schedules for a week, a month or a year.
Addressbook - you can create your own address book. You can define categories of your contacts, import and export the contacts, add VCards and perform an alternative CSV import.
InfoLog - it is a manager, which allows you managing processes with their description, the start and the end date, the person who is in charge and other specifications.
Notes - this application allows you to create and edit notes in different categories.
NNTP -with this application you can create, read and modify all the latest news.
ToDoList - allows you to shape your daily schedule.
FileManager - allows you to copy, move, delete, rename and manipulate the files and the folders as every standard file manager, which you use. Through it you can create files and folders, upload and download content.
