Manage Your Domains’ WHOIS Information

How to Edit and Protect Your Domains’ Administrative Data

Editing Your Domain Administrative Information

It is very important to keep your domain administrative information up-to-date at all times in order to prevent any issues with the domain registrar authorities.

If your domain is registered by SiteGround, you can easily edit all administrative information directly from the User Area → My Accounts Manage next to the preferred domain.

On the next page, you can edit your domain contact information as you see below.

If your domain is not registered by SiteGround, contact your registrar and request the WHOIS information changes.

Managing the Privacy of Your Domain Information

For .com, .net and other generic top level domain extensions, the WHOIS privacy service is ordered additionally. With this service enabled, your personal info will be replaced entirely with the details of SiteGround’s registrar as a company providing the service. It’s a powerful feature that will help prevent identity theft, reduce spam and email harvesting. If this service is available for you domain extensions there will be a button Add ID Protect in your User Area My Accounts → Domains section.
