How to clear your Internet browser’s cookies?

Browser cookies represent small text files, saved on your computer with information gathered from the websites you have visited. Here are some basic instructions on how to clear the cookies of your browser:

  • Firefox:

Go to History -> Clear Recent History. Select Details and uncheck all boxes except Cookies. Specify the time range and click Clear Now.

  • Chrome:

Access Chrome and go to Settings -> Advanced -> Clear Browsing Data. Mark only Cookies and other site and plugin data, select the period for which you want to delete them and click Clear Browsing Data.

  • Safari:

Click on Safari -> Preferences -> Privacy -> Manage Website Data -> Remove All and confirm.

  • Opera:

Click on Settings -> Delete Private Data -> Check both boxes Delete temporary cookies and Delete all cookies, then click on Delete.

  • Microsoft Edge:

Select the three horizontal lines (Hub icon) at the upper right corner of the browser -> click on History -> Clear all history -> select Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click Clear.

  • Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11:

Select Tools (from the Gear Icon) -> Safety -> Delete browsing history -> make sure that you uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.
