Information Security Officer

Sofia, Bulgaria

Due to the rapid growth and expansion of company operations, currently we are looking for Information Security Officer.**

Your Responsibilities:

  • - Maintain SiteGround’s Information Security Framework and underlying policies, procedures, standards and guidelines;
  • - Take the lead on developing, maintaining and updating of the company's information and IT security strategy and program;
  • - Actively ensure appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards are in place to protect SiteGround's information assets from internal and external threats;
  • - Identify, introduce and supervise the implementation of appropriate procedures, including checks and balances are in place to test these safeguards on a regular basis;
  • - Thoroughly conduct and complete annual reviews and audits as required engaging both internal business partners across the organization and external resources;
  • - Make it a priority to see that disaster recovery and emergency operating procedures are in place and tested on a regular basis;
  • - Act as the committed owner of the security incident and vulnerability management processes;
  • - Ensure effective staff training programs are in place to increase security awareness.

Our Expectations:

  • - At least 5 years’ experience in an information or cyber security role;
  • - Knowledge and experience in information security principles, algorithms, protocols, technologies and their best practices supporting encryption, authentication, access control, information systems attack patterns, intrusion detection and prevention, web and network security, DLP, vulnerabilities and patch management, etc.;
  • - A strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies and policies;
  • - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate efficiently with the system architects;
  • - Good understanding of security monitoring, correlations and analysis;
  • - А can-do attitude;
  • - Understanding of BCP and DR;
  • - One or more of the following certificates: CISM, CISSP, GIAC;
  • - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify security risks and propose solutions to fix them;
  • - Fluent English (written and spoken).

Not required, but a plus:

  • - Experience with regulatory/compliance frameworks, such as PCI, SOX, CIS, ISO 27001, etc.;
  • - General knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws – specifically GDPR;
  • - Security concepts related to DNS, Web, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services and DDOS mitigation technologies;
  • - Infrastructure background in Linux (MacOS is a plus);
  • - Network security architecture development and definition.
