It's been a while since I've written anything in the blog, actually 4 months... and oh my, those were some busy 4 months. But today I want to share the excitement of the successful completion of one of the big projects that kept me occupied recently – the move of the SiteGround HQ to a new office space. A little less than a year after we moved our customer service office, SiteGround HQ now has a new home too. And this is not just a new building – it is a place that has been created to open new opportunities and to inspire the creativity of our team even further. Below you can see some pictures and read how I envision the new office will help us work better!
We have just released the new version of our Joomla security plugin jHackGuard! This is the piece of software we have created several years ago and which makes all the Joomlas installed by SiteGround much safer. The new jHackGuard version introduces several brand new security filters as well as few improvements in the existing functionality.
After opening our first non-US server location in Amsterdam earlier this year, SiteGround web hosting company now announces the launch of new servers in Singapore too. The new location aims to provide high quality service for the shared hosting users both from Asia and from Australia.
“Hey Lily, we've moved to Singapore!” I got this message few days ago on FaceBook from one of my college mates, who had just left Washington DC for a fresh start in Asia. Knowing what we were working on the last few weeks, I was tempted to answer: “We are already there too!”. I just imagined how she would read my reply several times, trying to figure out what was going on, knowing me as a person, who had never considered a relocation. The truth is that I haven't packed for a new home, as I really love mine. However, SiteGround has added a new data center location and we now have servers in Singapore too!
The SiteGround events team is back after ten busy days in the city that never sleeps, two major events and loads of good time and Starbucks lattes. For the last two weeks we attended two major blog related events, talked a lot first about blogging in general and than about doing it with WordPress and got to know many inspiring new people.
