This month our Top Customer Care award goes to Nayden Naydenov. If you’ve spoken with him, you must have noticed that he is a really friendly soul and his knowledge and calmness allows him to explain even complicated stuff in simple language. Work aside, Nayden is a die-hard gamer who also takes interest in politics and always keeps up to date on the latest social media trends.
“Everyone is creative. Everyone is welcome.” This is part of the manifesto of CreativeMornings–a global monthly breakfast lecture series for the creative community. Their motto in the spirit of our Community Series is just part of the reason why we love and support our local CM chapter. It is also what inspired our joint #CMCreativeTravels campaign that will take one person from our community to a CreativeMornings event of their choice anywhere in the world. But first, a little background.
This month we are happy to introduce to you Georgi Ganchev, who is part of our Technical Support team. He says he’s there not only on duty, but with his heart. He loves helping others, gaining knowledge and taking part in various adventurous activities outside the office. Check out what he told us about himself in the interview.
Last year, after a massive growth in the number of SiteGround employees, we held several separate team building events instead of one mega gathering. You may have heard all about our fancy beachside customer care and tech team buildings. But what you missed was an almost business-like meetup of our Marketing, Dev and Creative teams, where we brainstormed ideas about the perfect format of the next SiteGround team gathering. Not surprisingly - brainstorming doesn’t sound as exciting as jumping off a yacht, does it? One year later, however, now that we saw the idea born there come to life, there is not a single doubt that it was worth every splash we missed.
Doroteya is one of our happy, social and friendly girls, part of the Customer Care Team. Our customers surely notice that she is a pro with hosting matters. What you may not know is that she’s also a glam mom, great with constructing Legos and an avid traveller. Apart from her lovely little boy, you can now find out what else gives her energy and pleasure in her daily life.
With our recent growth in people and offices abroad, we realized more than ever that our involvement in local communities and culture plays a crucial part in shaping both our personal and professional lives and invariably translates into our work. That’s why we made it a point to try to give back to the community however we can.
Lately we’ve been involved in supporting several interesting local projects, communities and causes that help us feel a more productive part of our environment and hopefully, make it better. We thought we’d tell you about them bit by bit with the hope that we can inspire you to find that local initiative that sparks your enthusiasm and gets you to do something - whether it’s cleaning the park, volunteering for a cause or a local festival or organizing a morning run group - we promise, it’s worth it. Today we start our Community series with our most recent initiative - supporting a live music concert in the city where our headquarters are located.
Our Top Customer Care Representative in May joined us only a few months ago. It's unbelievable how fast he managed to achieve top performance, but once you get to know him better, you’ll understand why it comes as no surprise. His keys to success: diligence, patience and optimism. Darin has degrees in Economics and in Finance but always had a knack for IT and new technologies, so when he had the chance to work for SiteGround it just felt natural. He is a never changing optimist and always looks on the bright side of life. Unbelievably patient, Darin is always striving for perfection.
Four years ago we stumbled on the following somewhere on the web: “Offscreen - a print-only magazine about the people behind the internet and technology.” Naturally, our first thought was “Why make a print magazine for people who spend most of their time online?” It certainly piqued our curiosity, and that’s how we came to order our first issue of Offscreen. It was also issue No1 – a brand new magazine. Today, we happily received Issue No14 at the SiteGround office.
