This year was quite busy and eventful for us at SiteGround. We worked hard on multiple projects that extend and improve the tools we offer, enhance the performance of all websites on our platform, and block millions of security threats daily so that they never reach your sites. It’s been a remarkable year, but what matters most for us is what difference did it all make for you. Judging by the outstanding 98% client satisfaction in our end-of-year survey, our efforts did not go unnoticed. Here are some of our highlights of the things we launched that helped us get your high mark.
Last year we reached a new, important and very exciting milestone! Over 1,000,000 domains are now hosted by SiteGround. With the big breakthrough though, comes big responsibility. So many talented people have entrusted their websites with us and we wanted to make sure that we continue to meet and exceed the expectations to every single one of you. To do that, in our annual client satisfaction survey, we've asked you how we did last year and what is it that you wanted us to improve. And here is the valuable feedback we received from you.
At the end of 2016 we ran our traditional client survey to take a snapshot of the current profile of our users and to measure their satisfaction levels with our service. When we received the first results we were quite excited, but at the same time we opened them with little fear. After all, we doubled our client base in 2016 and we were eager to see if we have managed to keep the high satisfaction rates of the previous years.
The past year 2015 has been a roller-coaster ride for our team. New clients doubled joining faster than we could plan on how to accommodate them. New business opportunities had to be seized and operations set in motion to make them happen. That fast-growth pace has been a source of anxiety whether we would manage to stay focused on the one thing that really matters - the quality of our service and how our clients’ experience would be affected.
We could not have wrapped up last year without collecting feedback from our customers via the traditional client satisfaction survey. We want to thank all of you who took the time to fill it out and answer our questions. The results once again managed to exceed our expectations. We already knew that 2014 was a record year for us in terms of number of new customers added, however with growth at such fast rate it can be challenging to maintain service quality. That is why we were very excited to see that not only the number of the customers has increased, but we managed to keep, and even improve, the amazing satisfaction levels from the previous years. Below I will share a summary of the findings from the 2014 survey responses.
