1,000,000 Domains and 97% Satisfaction

Last year we reached a new, important and very exciting milestone! Over 1,000,000 domains are now hosted by SiteGround. With the big breakthrough though, comes big responsibility. So many talented people have entrusted their websites with us and we wanted to make sure that we continue to meet and exceed the expectations to every single one of you. To do that, in our annual client satisfaction survey, we've asked you how we did last year and what is it that you wanted us to improve. And here is the valuable feedback we received from you.

A Whopping 97% Satisfaction Rate

The biggest and most important question for all of us was whether you’re happy with the service and solutions we provide. With a fast-paced growth and a satisfaction rate of over 96% in 2016, we didn't really believe we could do better this year. And then we got the final results for the 2017 client survey. We were more than thrilled to see that for the third year in a row, we've managed to improve the satisfaction rates and what’s most important - the quality of our service. 97.3% is here to prove that teamwork, devotion, and love can make web hosting exciting and worthy.

95% of Our Customers Would Recommend Us

Given the satisfaction rate above it’s no wonder that most of our customers would recommend us to a friend or acquaintance for their new business projects and personal sites. This means the world to us, as we value personal recommendation and we know that this is what counts the most.

What Do You Like About SiteGround?

This year, we wanted to know what do you like about us the most and we asked for your honest opinion in a couple of open questions. It’s no surprise that most of the answers were either dedicated to or involved our legendary Support & Customer Service teams in one way or another. Simplicity and ease of use were amongst the popular answers, too.

What Do We Need to Improve?

In order to constantly improve and be better, we need to know what is it that we’re not doing in the best possible way we could. That’s why we asked you what you don’t like about SiteGround. We noticed a trend of suggestions for updating the look and feel of our User Area and Control Panel. We appreciate your feedback and we’re glad to say that we’re working on some huge enhancements there as we speak. Big changes are coming in 2018!

A Preferred Choice for Web Professionals

The survey this year helped us identify two big groups of people, choosing our services. The first one are bloggers and small business owners that manage their own websites. The second group are the site building professionals who design, code and manage multiple websites. We are working hard to address every group’s specific needs in the upcoming User Area changes - simplicity for the first one, and collaboration options for the second. We are also very excited that more and more big companies are relying on SiteGround for hosting their projects and we have launched the enterprise hosting service for their specific needs.

With 1,000,000 domains pointed to our servers already, we couldn't be happier and more grateful for your amazing feedback and for helping us constantly improve our hosting service. We'll continue to enhance our solutions and aim to surpass even this year's record!

    The level of customer service at siteground is to notch. Everybody goes out of their way to help. Security is top notch leaps and bounds better than go daddy with regards to hosting. I am truly happy to be a customer at

    I'm also satisfied - I'm not a customer, but my clients are. Siteground indeed has the best support team.

    What I'd like to see improved is the User's Area and the cPanel. The interface looks too old and feels slow, and I'm waiting for ages to see the cPanel gets updated so we'd have sub-user accounts.

    Please keep the hosting fast - Ive migrated 50 websites here from the big competition that starts with a B. They are slow and i hate them. please dont become like them.

    That's my 4th year at SG and for sure not the last 🙂
    Like said above, Cpanel and even WHMpanel are not really practical and are still not mobile friendly. SG team can probably improve this interface ?

    I'm very happy with SG. However, after moving to SiteGround, my domain email has been hacked. Someone is using random addresses with my domain, like xxx@mydomain.com, to send a lot of emails to various receivers. Each day I get approx. 50 automatic replies and spam alerts, where I can see which address the spam email was sent from. It's strange that I get those replies to the emails I created myself, even though they are sent from a random xyz@mydomain.com.

    This behaviour started only a short after moving my domain to SG. Any tips highly appreciated.

      We checked your domain and set a more strict SPF record for it. Right now, you're scoring 100/100 at https://www.mail-tester.com/. If the issue persist, please post a ticket in your Help Desk and provide full email headers so we can investigate further. Also, we had a malware check on your account and everything seems to be nice and clean 🙂

    I been using AwesomeGround 🙂 for a while now, I host my WPMultisite bawebs.com along with multiple mapped domains and believe it or not, I can tell you that my WP dashboard move pretty fast , my WP dashboard never move this fast on previous hosting especially on a multisite environment but with SG and supercacher (memcache) its like peanut butter and jelly. Oh by the way I haven't encounter an issue where those geeks didn't have a quick solution for

    On the sober note ... Do we have right to ask for "Word Press" only SiteGround hosting?
    Or at least divided to WP only, Joomla, Magento only etc ... at purchase time ...

    Ah yes, while in this festive mode ... let us try and sneak in a rather big one:

    Multiple Word Press WPMU (aka Network) support on one hosting account. Right now it is kidn of a there but not fully supported.

    In any case keep up a good work and stay on those truly Olympic levels ...

    Your satisfaction results among web developers is probably 99.999%.

    I no longer accept work on sites hosted anywhere except SiteGround. The highlight of 2017 for me was moving all of my own sites over from a huge hosting company that I'd been with for more than 15 years.

    I love SiteGround for so many reasons, but most of all because you make me look good to my clients!

    It's so great to hear all these reviews, especially those that have been with Siteground for so long! I moved to Siteground 1.5 years ago when my old hosting company's quality of service (that was overtaken by a conglomerate) just went down the drain. Have loved Siteground since I moved and am looking forward to seeing their growth and referring others that have hosting problems to them as well! So nice to know a reliable and high quality web host. Thanks guys!

    Siteground's recent IP change for Grow Big accounts was terribly handled from a customer service perspective. I received an email saying that all of my client's A-records had to be updated within 10 days to avoid site failure. After contacting Siteground several times nobody could give me a clear indication of date and time for this disconnection. I was finally given a time, but Siteground staff were unclear on this simple question.

    There was also no offer of extension. This IP change happened to me 2 years previously and Siteground granted a 30 day period to adjust IP's/A-records. This time I was told that this would not happen and that 10 days was enough. Really poor service and allowance for your customers. A-record changes can take a lot of time as my clients are not all waiting to do IT requests, as they are the authorties for the domain re-direct. Sitegrounds plan and communication was really bad on this recent IP change.

      Thanks for reporting this! It seems that some sort of miscomunnication has occurred. We sent three emails to people that dind't have their NS records pointed to us. Note, that you didn't have ot wait for a speciffic moment to make the change. However, we will revise our notifications and do our best to improve them in order to avoid such issues in the future.

    I have worked as developer & designer in IT for 35+ years and have hosted with SiteGround for about 2 years (previously nearly 10 years UK FAST). It is my experience that the level, quality and timeliness of support from SiteGround is unsurpassed.

    extremely happy with your service ... your techs are the best ... very sorry i wasted my time (years) with another server ... when i have come to your site for help it has always been instant ... the time you waste not contacting one of your reps you could have had your problem already solved

    it'd be great to have a bit more support for those that want to run modest code. There's no C compiler, crontab, and the python environment is nailed down, hard to add packages. Yes, you can buy that capability from SG for a LOT extra... Everything else works really well, and it's super fast.
